Grand Opening

I spent a good part of my day setting up a display of Two Peacock's Soaps at a cute shop on the square in Altus. Dora Lou's is across from the courthouse on the east side of the square and has a red door. I love that red door. My house has a red door. I think they were meant to be together--Dora Lou's and Two Peacocks.

I started with seven different soap scents and about that many "baskets" of multiple soaps that might serve as a nice gift for someone special. None of them are in baskets, but I had to call them something. Some are in jars, some are on plates and soap dishes; it's hard to explain. I am making them up as I go, trying to keep them interesting and different so each one is an original. I am new at this, so that part is a learn-as-I-go endeavor.

Today the scents I started with were:

Oatmeal and Honey--smells wonderful, made with ground oats and local honey

Rainforest--has a soft masculine scent, but can be used by the ladies, too

Wild Mesquite Bean--light caramel scent with finely ground mesquite beans

Cinnamon--a darkly colored soap that smells exactly like its name

Gingerbread--yummy, smells like the real thing

Green Clay--lightly scented, green clay will draw out toxins and helps with oily skin

Lavender--true scent with buds added

I will have new scents ready next week, too: Harvest Blend, Waterfall, and Chamomile Dream

So...for those who want to give Two Peacocks a try and don't live anywhere near Altus or the farm or Oklahoma...I will sell four bars for $20 for a short time. And that includes shipping and handling! All you have to do is e-mail me at bebeadams@gmail.com, pick your scents, and then mail me a check. I'll get the soap in the mail the next day!! It's that easy.

Don't you just love grand openings and red doors?
